New Mexico Resident Registration
Registration is required for OHVs prior to using on any PUBLIC
LANDs in New Mexico and must be dispayed.
Vehicles that are considered OHVs & must be registered
include:
- All-terrain vehicles (ATVs)
- Dirt bikes
- Off-road vehicles (ORVs, UTVs or Mule type vehicles)
- Snowmobiles

REGISTRATION AND FEES:
New Mexico residents are required to register their OHV at any
Motor Vehicle Division Field Office

$53 for initial registration - $50 thereafter
OHVs must be renewed every two years - if used on public
lands
Out of State Vistor Permitting
Non-resident permitting is required for OHVs prior to using on
