Investigating and prosecuting individuals or groups found poaching New Mexico’s game and fish

 

Current Projects/Assignments:

Educating individuals 18 years old or older about the rules and regulations of the Pecos Wildlife Management Areas (i.e. Bert Clancy, Tererro, Jamie Koch/Willow Creek and Mora) pertaining to recreational activities and the licenses or permits required to utilize these Wildlife Management Areas

Protecting New Mexico’s vast wildlife diversity through law enforcement, public education and sustainable habitat management for current and future generations

What can I do about a problem bear coming up to my house?

 

Answer:

Keep all attractants in a secure location.  Do not leave human-caused problems like; bird feeders, bird seed, suet cakes, sunflower seed, safflower seed, thistle seed, hummingbird feeders, dog food, cat food, poultry feed, livestock feed, barbeque grills, trash cans/containers, trash bags, citronella candles, etc… near your home for bears to investigate
