Northeast Area Game Manager

Area of Responsibility

Anything and everything pertaining to game management for the northeastern portion of the state.

M.S. from Texas Tech University in wildlife sciences. B.S. from University of Wisconsin -- Stevens Point in wildlife and biology with a minor in GIS and spatial analysis.

Length of Service:

Two years, five months.

Specialty or Interest:

I have a general interest in learning as much about the species I work with and staying as current with new information as possible. I enjoy having to dig through scientific literature to find answers to management questions for just about everything.

Current Projects/Assignments:

Currently working on the proposed changes to the Antelope-Private Lands Use System and beginning to update our species distribution maps.

Best Thing About the Job:

The best part of the job so far has been working with a very diverse staff on a very diverse suite of species. I never imagined I would be working with pronghorn, elk, bighorn sheep, etc., on a regular basis.

Most Common Question People Have:

Can I get more tags?

The short answer: It depends. The long answer: We don't really have time for that here ...
